My Experience with Coaching
The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are. - Carl Jung
Coaching came to me at a time when I was going through an intense transition in my life. There were a lot of wonderful things happening and yet, I felt a deep need for change, both internally and externally. Through my own Coaching process I learned to ‘wander and wonder’, to give tender attention to those parts of myself that had been ignored, dismissed and not to be felt or heard from for many years. My Burn Out from being on repeat and giving too much away, uncovered a burning desire that was pointing me in a new direction. As I got in touch with some of my core values, I discovered a wish to study beyond my expertise as an Acting Instructor. I researched many different Counselling and Therapy modalities but the Coaching Model stopped me in my tracks and drew me in. I realized that through the lens of seeing myself and others as Resourceful, Creative and Whole I could begin to be of service in a way that lit me up. By holding myself and others with curiosity and trust, my life started to transform and blossom. Now, I slowly step, gently and bravely, into a new chapter in my life.
-
I love the transformative experience of Coaching. Witnessing the self discovery and new realizations in clients, seeing their eyes light up with the empowerment of choice, warms my heart. The shifts and changes in perspective during a session are ever inspiring.
-
I love how people become energized and alive while they align with what is most meaningful to them, and from there, take actions that further support their goals and dreams.
-
I feel honoured to see people wake up to the unexplored potential in themselves and bring that to their relationships, their work, creative endeavours and ultimately to the world.
-
I love hearing people name what they stand for and what they are willing to stand up for.

Bottom line… I love Coaching and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share it with you.

About Personal Coaching
Personal Coaching has been defined in many ways. The essence of coaching is:
-
To help a person change in the way they wish and help them go in the direction they want to go.
-
To support a person at every level in becoming who they want to be.
-
To build awareness that empowers choice and leads to change.
ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.

The Coaching process begins with a Free Sample Session to make sure that we are a great fit, then we design together the ongoing Bi-monthly sessions.

About Acting Coaching
My approach to acting training is a culmination of over 30 years of experience and yet is primarily an intuitive process. Beyond respecting and teaching the fundamentals of performance, I listen deeply to what each individual needs in order to explore, express and meet their fullest potential. I hold a creative space that is secure with foundational exercises yet flexible enough to allow room for autonomy, innovation and for the actor to find their own way.
I value the opportunity to witness the actors willingness to play, experiment and celebrate what they love to do! I trained at Ryerson in Toronto Canada and spent many years acting and directing while dedicating over 20 years to teaching at Vancouver Film School.
